DIY Window Defroster
Despite the glimpse of warmth weather we received just yesterday, it looks like cooler temperatures are officially here to stay. Weather forecasters call for chances of snow over the next couple of days. Looks like we may have a white Thanksgiving! As we all know freezing temperatures, combined with our humid climate, means lots of frost. Frost can be one of the most temperamental elements to deal with, especially when it comes to windows.
You may be surprised to learn that there is a simple way to prevent frost from building up on your windows. All you need is a spray bottle (a soft cloth or old cotton t-shirt works as well), warm water, and either rubbing alcohol or vinegar. Just mix three parts warm water with one part rubbing alcohol or vinegar, and voila! You now have your very own window defroster. Spray or wipe your windows with this mixture to prevent frost from becoming a problem. This mixture also works well to remove frost that has already built up.
